About FYCC
FYCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes healthy families, healthy youth, and healthy communities. We are dedicated to creating a positive impact by providing support and resources to individuals and communities in need. Our mission is to empower families and youth to lead fulfilling lives and contribute to the well-being of their communities. Through our various programs and initiatives, we strive to make a difference and foster a culture of wellness and inclusivity.
Our Story
Family Youth Community Connections (FYCC) has served the St. Michael–Albertville area since 1999, with a mission to promote healthy families, healthy youth, and healthy communities.
Founded by Sandy Greninger, FYCC began as a collaboration between the Wright County Family Service Collaborative and the communities of St. Michael and Albertville. As grant funding decreased, strong community support helped FYCC continue independently as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
“Our belief is that if we can keep our families healthy, our children will be healthier, and our rapidly growing communities will stay healthier. We provide safe social outlets for children in the St. Michael–Albertville area.”
Today, FYCC offers free and affordable programs and events for children, families, and community members, including Open Streets, Family Bingo Nights, the Father–Daughter Dance, Mother–Son events, and summer reading programs.
FYCC also manages the Albertville Central Park Shelter, partners with STMA Rotary on Beds for Kids, and works with the Wright County Crisis Nursery to support local families in need.
FYCC proudly serves thousands of area residents each year through its programs, events, and community partnerships.
